Are you drinking enough, and still feeling dry?
You may be doing everything right. Eight glasses, a bottle on your desk, a reminder on your phone. And your skin can still feel tight by mid-afternoon.
Water on its own does not always stay where you need it. Fluid moves in and out of cells with the help of electrolytes: sodium, potassium and magnesium. When those are low, extra water may simply pass through you.

Say yes to any of these:
- Your lips or skin feel dry even when you drink plenty of water
- You feel flat or foggy by mid-afternoon
- You get a headache or dizziness after exercise, heat or travel
- Coffee or tea is your main drink before noon
- Your urine is concentrated and not clear
Two or more may be a sign that hydration, not just water intake, is worth a look.
